A small group of studio and agency operations people who compare notes on the boring machinery that keeps a shop running. Topics are project management tooling, capacity planning, utilization targets, contracts, insurance, and what to do when a client will not pay. Membership is capped at ten and everyone runs operations at a shop between four and forty people. Nobody in this group is competing directly, which is what makes the honesty possible. We share actual templates, and the shared folder is now the most valuable thing any of us have. Meetings are monthly and last ninety minutes with a hard stop. New members join by referral from an existing one.
